JOP

The Portuguese Youth Orchestra celebrates Christmas with the great music of Verdi and Rimsky-Korsakov.

This extraordinary music is celebrated by the incandescent energy of the JOP, the national youth orchestra, ambassador of Portugal’s talent in Europe and the world, made up of young musicians aged between 14 and 28, selected through auditions throughout the country (North, Centre, South, Azores and Madeira) every year, without distinction of academic background or financial capacity, promoting their specialisation, training and launch into the national and European labour market.

The JOP Christmas Meeting culminates in three major concerts in Almada and Oeiras.
