The Orquestra de Câmara Portuguesa will feature in the São Luiz Theatre’s 2026/27 season with a performance of “Forward is not the only way” in October. This production offers an in-depth exploration of the intersections between music, theatre and dance, establishing an intimate dialogue with memory and our historical dimension.

Under the artistic direction of Pedro Carneiro and Teresa Simas, who also directs and choreographs the production, this show builds bridges between the genius of composers such as J. S. Bach, György Kurtág, Tōru Takemitsu, Toshio Hosokawa and Olivier Messiaen and the expressiveness of an intergenerational cast.
