The Orquestra de Câmara Portuguesa presents the 4th edition of the Oeiras International Chamber Music Festival – FIMCO, on 25, 26 and 27 September, at the OCP’s headquarters in Algés, @Oeiras, inspired by the theme ‘HOME’, the title of the new work that the Notas de Contacto ensemble will premiere on the festival’s final day.

In this 2026 edition, FIMCO celebrates the idea of home as a space for gathering, memory, creation and sharing, bringing together musicians, composers and young performers over three days, with a focus on Portuguese music, contemporary composition and the dialogue between different artistic languages.

The programme explores a range of sonic worlds, from the repertoire for wind quintet by Mozart, Joly Braga Santos, Luís Tinoco and Eurico Carrapatoso, to the dialogue between piano and vibraphone featuring Francisco Couto and Jonathan Silva, including the new work “CASA” by Notas de Contacto and the performance *Corpos Sonoros: Jaime Reis, presented by the young musicians of the Portuguese Youth Orchestra, who are taking part in FIMCO as part of the JOP 2026 Contemporary Encounter.

In an atmosphere that is both intimate and open to experimentation, FIMCO returns ‘home’ this year to celebrate chamber music and artistic creation, with a focus on Portuguese music and the new generations of performers.

This edition also marks the anniversary of the OCP, founded in September 2007, and honours all those who, over the past 19 years, have helped to build this home of creativity and civic engagement.
