The Jovem Orquestra Portuguesa (JOP) is holding its Summer Meeting between 27 July and 8 August at the headquarters of the Orquestra de Câmara Portuguesa – Musical Association in Oeiras, bringing together young musicians from across the country for two weeks of intensive training and artistic creation.

The Gathering includes a number of concerts that will showcase the work developed during the residency on some of the most prestigious national and international stages. Under the baton of conductor Pedro Carneiro, the JOP will perform at the Teatro Capitólio in Lisbon on 31 July at 9.00 pm as a charity event in partnership with the Fundação Lar de Cegos de Nossa Senhora da Saúde; at the Jardim Público in Évora on 1 August at 9.30 pm; at the Nova Oeiras Parish Hall on 2 August at 4.00 pm.

The JOP Summer Meeting culminates with an international tour to Germany, featuring a concert at the iconic Konzerthaus in Berlin on 7 August at 7.00 pm, as part of the Young Euro Classic festival, which brings together the finest youth orchestras from around the world.
