The Jovem Orquestra Portuguesa (JOP) presents the second concert of its Summer Meeting on 1 August at 9.30 pm at the Cine-Teatro São João, Palmela

Conducted by Pedro Carneiro, the concert opens with the premiere of *Saudades, só portugueses* by César Rafael, the JOP Young Composer 2026, followed by Frank Martin’s *Concerto for 7 Wind Instruments, Timpani, Percussion and String Orchestra*. After the interval, the orchestra will perform Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6 in B minor, Op. 74, ‘Pathetique’, one of the most memorable works in the symphonic repertoire.
