The Portuguese Chamber Orchestra is once again collaborating with the National Ballet Company in the presentation of ‘Os Maias’, Fernando Duarte’s latest choreographic creation, on stage in Porto from 12 to 14 March.
Inspired by the work of Eça de Queirós, this three-act ballet establishes a dialogue between literature, dance and live music. The musical interpretation is by António Rosado, accompanied by soloists from the Portuguese Chamber Orchestra.
Through a contemporary approach, the show revisits one of the greatest classics of Portuguese literature, highlighting the expressiveness of movement and the narrative dimension of music.
