Julien Chauvin, celebrated French violinist and conductor, is the guest of the Orquestra de Câmara Portuguesa (OCP) for an extraordinary evening of music with the concert The Bach Dynasty, on 12 December at 8 pm in the Small Auditorium of the Belém Cultural Centre (CCB).

This will be the first time that Julien Chauvin (founder of the Parisian ensemble Le Concert de la Loge) joins forces with the incandescent energy of the OCP to perform masterpieces by Telemann, Vivaldi and the Bach family.

Renowned for his virtuosity and spontaneity, Julien Chauvin will also share the stage with the award-winning young violinist Maria Reis Sá (alumna of the Jovem Orquestra Portuguesa) in a luminous interpretation of Bach’s double concerto.

As part of this concert, a lecture entitled From Tradition to Heritage will be given by Eugénio Amorim on the same day at 6.30 pm.
