The Orquestra de Câmara Portuguesa (OCP) has a prominent place in the new 2025/2026 season of the Companhia Nacional de Bailado (CNB), featuring two ballets that combine dance, literature and live music.
October 2025 – Os Maias
The CNB season begins on 16 October 2025 at the Teatro Camões with the world premiere of Os Maias, a ballet in three acts, adapted from the emblematic work by Eça de Queirós.
Created by Fernando Duarte, choreographer and artistic director of the CNB, the choreography incorporates literature, movement and live music, performed by pianist António Rosado and soloists from the OCP, reinforcing the connection between dance and Portuguese literary narrative.
