The Participatory Orchestra crosses borders and has now made its way to Germany! As part of the University of Vechta’s International Week, the Participatory Orchestra performed under the baton of conductor Pedro Carneiro, in an event celebrating music, sharing and international cooperation.

The concert took place in the main auditorium of the University of Vechta on Wednesday 10 June at 6.30 pm, with the academic community taking part in an open and inclusive musical experience.

The previous day, 9 June, Pedro Carneiro was also at the University for a lecture dedicated to the social and educational projects of the Portuguese Chamber Orchestra — Musical Association.

It is from its headquarters in Oeiras that the Association’s work has a strong impact on the local community, complemented by a well-established national presence spanning almost two decades, with dozens of international tours and exchanges also standing out.

Music as a bridge between cultures, people and communities.
